Hallsville sports fans have something new to celebrate heading into the fall season.

Nic Thomas has announced the launch of the Hallsville Sports Network, a new expansion under Prepcasts Central Missouri, that will bring free live audio and video coverage of Hallsville Indians athletic events throughout the entire school year.

The announcement was shared on social media, where Thomas expressed excitement about taking on the role of leading his own network within the Prepcasts Broadcasting system.

According to the post, the new network will stream Hallsville sporting events live, giving families, alumni, and community members a way to follow the Indians no matter where they are.

A Personal Milestone for Nic Thomas

For Thomas, this expansion represents more than just a new broadcasting opportunity. He described it as a longtime personal goal to eventually run his own network under the Prepcasts umbrella.

In his announcement, he credited the Hallsville School District and the Prepcasts organization for making that opportunity possible, calling it an honor to take on the responsibility of covering the community’s student athletes.

Thomas also spoke highly of the Hallsville community itself, noting that the school spirit and local support have stood out to him. He said his goal moving forward is to build on that same energy and create a broadcasting experience tailored specifically to Hallsville residents and fans.

Community Reaction Pours In

The announcement quickly drew attention from residents, many of whom left congratulatory messages online.

Comments from community members such as Brett Miller, Trenton Morgan, Cathy Stubbs Geisz, Faith Hancock, Maribeth Frevert, and Marla Arends Mills reflected excitement and support for the new venture, with many simply offering congratulations or expressing enthusiasm for what is to come.

The Hallsville Sports Network will operate under the larger Prepcasts Broadcasting Network, a platform known for providing local and regional coverage of high school sports across Missouri. By joining the network, Hallsville becomes one of several communities benefiting from Prepcasts’ model of free, accessible sports broadcasting.

With the fall sports season approaching quickly, Thomas said he is eager to begin the work needed to get the network fully operational.

Streaming is expected to cover a range of Hallsville Indians athletic events, giving fans a consistent way to stay connected with the school’s teams throughout the year.

As anticipation builds, Hallsville residents can expect updates from Thomas and the Prepcasts Central Missouri team as the network prepares for its first broadcasts this fall.
